Akita Crafts is associated with the Akita City Crafts Promotion Council.
Our goal is to introduce unique original crafts and traditional crafts that have been handed generation to generation in Akita. Each handmade product has its story from the artists/makers and the story continues on to the users. Enjoy learning and experiencing Akita through these masterpieces.

Akita City is a nature park city located in the center of Akita Prefecture. East to the city, the Dewa Mountains, which consists of the sacred Mt. Taiheizan is present, and to the west, the Sea of Japan, with a beautiful sunset is located.
Akita's rich natural environment and the various crafts nurtured in its 400-plus years of history as the prefectural capital add color to people's lives in each of the four seasons and bring comfort and enrichment to their lives.

Crafts presented here have been created with methods that were handed down from generations to generations. The artisans' effort and sincerity lead to these masterpieces.
